Liau
Miss
Liau is the founder and senior
partner of our firm. She
was admitted to the then Supreme
Court of Hong Kong in October
1978, and was admitted to the
Supreme Court of England and
Wales and Victoria, Australia on
1 March and 1 December 1983
respectively. Miss Liau is
a law graduate of the University
of Hong Kong. After
completing her articles, Miss
Liau continued to work as a
solicitor with a local law firm
called Messrs. Peter Mark &
Co from 1978 to the end of 1983.
She commenced her practice
as a sole practitioner under the
firm name of LIAU & CO in
January 1984. Miss Liaus experience
is mainly in Litigation, company
and commercial laws.
Miss
Liau is also a Notary
Public. In November 1991,
Miss Liau was admitted as an
advocate and solicitor of the
Supreme Court of Singapore.
Miss
Liau has been appointed by the
Chief Justice as a member of the
Solicitors
Disciplinary
Tribunal Panel.
Miss
Liau is the Hon. Treasurer of the
Hong Kong Federation of Womens Lawyers.
Mr. Hugo
Chan
Mr.Chan
graduated from the Faculty of Law
at the University of Southampton
in England in 1978. Prior
to joining this firm as a
partner, he served his articles
and worked as a solicitor with
Messrs. Johnson, Stokes &
Master between 1979 and
1986. He joined this firm
as a partner in April 1986.
Mr. Chan was admitted a solicitor
of the then Supreme Court of Hong
Kong in 1981, a solicitor of the
Supreme Court of England and
Wales in 1986 and a barrister and
solicitor of the Supreme Court of
the Australia Capital Territory
in February 1991. He has
obtained a Post Graduate Diploma
in China Law at the East Asia
University of Macau. Mr.
Chans major areas of
experience are Property,
Commercial and China related
matters.
Mr.Chan
is a member of the Changchun
People's Political Consultative
Committee of China. Mr. Chan is
an appointed Attesting Officer of
The Peoples Republic of
China and is also a Notary
Public.

Louis Pong
Mr.
Pong joined this firm in October
1987 and is now one of the
partners. He studied law in
London and was admitted as a
solicitor of the then Supreme
Court of Hong Kong in March
1986. He was awarded a
Diploma in China Law by the
University of East Asia, Macau in
April, 1989. He was
admitted as a solicitor of the
Supreme Court of England and
Wales in November 1989 and a
barrister and solicitor of the
Supreme Court of the Australian
Capital Territory in April
1991. Before joining this
firm he worked as a solicitor
with Messrs. Johnson, Stokes
& Master. He has wide
exposure and experience in
conveyancing, litigation, probate
and commercial laws. Mr.
Pong was also admitted as an
advocate and solicitor of the
Supreme Court of Singapore in
September 1991.

Kelvin Li
Mr.
Li graduated from the University
of Hong Kong in 1991, and was
admitted as a solicitor of the
then Supreme Court of Hong Kong
in 1993. Mr. Li. joined
our firm as an associate in
1996. He now concentrates
on general conveyancing.

William Loo
Mr.
Loo graduated from the University
of City Polytechnic of Hong Kong
in 1992 and was admitted as
solicitor of the then Supreme
Court of Hong Kong in 1994.
Mr. Loo concentrates on civil and
criminal litigation.
Miss
May Wu
Miss
Wu graduated from the University
of Hong Kong in 1995 and was
admitted as a solicitor of the
High Court of Hong Kong in
1997. Before joining the
local law firms, Miss Wu worked
as an Examiner with the
Intellectual Property Department,
Hong Kong Government. She
concentrates on IP and civil
litigation matters.
Mr.
Raymond Leung
Mr.
Leung graduated from the City
University of Hong Kong in 1999
and was admitted as a solicitor
of the High Court of Hong Kong in
2002. Mr. Leung concentrates on
project conveyancing and China
related matters.
U.S.
Lawyer Mr. Anthony C.H. Chan
Mr.
Chan has good business and legal
knowledge of countries like
Japan, China, Taiwan, and
U.S.A.. He has been
associated with some of the
largest U.S. law firms including
Berliner Cohen and Ropers,
Majeski Kohn Bently Wagner &
Kane during which time he
traveled extensively throughout
the Far East to develop the
International Law and business
practices of those firms.
His main areas of the practice
are in Corporate, Contract, Tax
Planning, Litigation, Real
Estate, Immigration and general
business law.
Mr.
Chan has also served as Chairman,
Director and Advisor to many
leading educational, community
and business associations on the
U.S. West Coast with Asian links
thereby enhancing his
international business
contracts. He is a member
of the Hong Kong Association of
Northern California.
Mr.
Chan is registered as a foreign
lawyer with the Law Society of
Hong Kong.
Mr.
Chan will be using his 20 years
of legal and business experience,
contacts and linguistic skills in
several languages and dialects
including English, Mandarin,
Cantonese, Taiwanese and Japanese
to serve the clients of our Firm
who have business interests in
China, Taiwan, Japan and U.S.A.
or who plan to tap into those
markets. We welcome the
addition of Mr. Chan to our staff
as part of our Firms
expansion plan into China and
other countries.
